Bournemouth Early Spring Break with Inclusive bar 5 Days 2 – 6 March 2020

Bournemouth is one of Britain’s most popular destinations. One of the largest resorts on the south coast. It is a town devoted to the holiday maker with seven miles of golden beaches and every type of entertainment to make a holiday complete. Parks and gardens cover over two thousand acres. There are two piers and three lifts from street level to the beaches. The one hundred foot cliffs, which circle the bay adds to its charm and shelter the promenades and garden walks below them.

The Durley Dean Hotel and Spa stands on Bournemouth’s West Cliff just a short walk from the cliff top and town centre. Hotel facilities include Leisure Club with indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. MONDAY Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Bournemouth and Durley Dean Hotel.

Leaving the hotel we have an excursion to the Isle of Purbeck and Swanage, passing through Corfe Castle on the way. There is time to explore Swanage and maybe take a stroll along the seafront, and to obtain lunch before we make our way back to Bournemouth.

WEDNESDAY Today we have a day out beginning with a drive through the picturesque New Forest to delightful Salisbury with time to explore, obtain lunch and maybe visit the 13th century Cathedral with the tallest spire in England. In the afternoon we return to Bournemouth with chance for a stroll and a drink before dinner.

THURSDAY Today we have a ride out to Poole, with its magnificent harbour and Brownsea Island. We have time to explore harbourside, Poole Pottery, the nearby shopping streets, and to obtain lunch. Later we head off to Bournemouth.

FRIDAY After breakfast we leave and begin our journey home.

Llandudno Mock Cruise 5 Days 14 – 18 March 2020

SATURDAY Depart local pick up area or Kettlewell’s Yard and travel across the scenic Woodhead pass in Derbyshire and into Cheshire, stopping for lunch on route. We arrive in Llandudno where we take afternoon tea while your steward takes your luggage to your cabin.

SUNDAY – TUESDAY There will be free time and various excursions whilst ashore.

WEDNESDAY Time to disembark from the M.V. Tynedale Cruise Ship and we depart Llandudno mid morning, calling for lunch before taking a scenic drive home.

Picturesque Pembrokeshire and the Beautiful Gower 5 Days 19 – 23 April 2020


The natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast and the Gower peninsula are famed all over the world. Glorious sandy beaches and seemingly endless rugged coastline give way to the Preseli Hills, historic towns and little villages. We stay in Carmarthen for our tour, ideal for visiting this delightful corner of Wales.

YOUR HOTEL The Ivy Bush Royal Hotel is within walking distance of Carmarthen town centre and was once a favourite retreat for Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton. All bedrooms are en suite, and all have television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.

SUNDAY Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Carmarthen and arriving late afternoon at Ivy Bush Royal Hotel. Tea/coffee and Welsh cake on arrival.

MONDAY This morning we travel west to the popular holiday resort of Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore and superb beaches. We have time for lunch in Tenby before we are on our way to Picton Castle and Woodland Garden. Regarded as Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home and gardens. There are 40 acres of some of the most beautiful gardens and grounds in West Wales.

TUESDAY Leaving the hotel we head south through Kidwelly and make our way to the picture postcard resort of Mumbles, delightfully located on Swansea Bay. We have time for a look round and to obtain lunch. This afternoon we have a short drive to the Gower Heritage Centre at Parkmill. Here we meet our guide for a tour taking us to the beautiful unspoilt scenery of the Gower Peninsula, designated an ‘Area of outstanding natural beauty’. After the tour we return to the Heritage Centre and enjoy a Gower Cream Tea.

WEDNESDAY Today our excursion takes us to St Bride’s Bay and Newgale Sands to the magical place of St. David’s, birthplace of the patron saint of Wales. St. David’s has a beautiful Cathedral, the smallest in Great Britain, well worth a visit. From St. David’s we head around the Preseli Mountains back to hotel.

THURSDAY After breakfast we leave and begin our homeward journey.

A new tour for 2020 offering a nice combination of coast, country and city featuring the Picturesque villages around the coast of Fife and the historic cities of Dundee and Perth.

YOUR HOTEL The Hotel Indigo is located in what was a jute mill a stones throw from the bustling centre of Dundee and the beautiful waterfront. MONDAY Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Scotland and arriving late afternoon at Hotel Indigo Dundee.

TUESDAY Today we head for Blairgowrie and along Strathardle to the popular town of Pitlochry where we take a break. Moving on we make our way to historic Perth. This city has much to offer and we have lunch break here with time to explore. Later we return to the hotel.

WEDNESDAY Our destination today is the former Kingdom of Fife. Heading inland via Cupar to the coast we enjoy a lovely coastal drive through the villages of Elie, Pittenweem and Crail on the way to St Andrews, world renowned home of golf. This is our lunch stop today and we have chance to explore before we head back across the River Tay to Dundee.

THURSDAY Today is free to explore in detail the city of Dundee. You could visit Discovery Point and board Captain Scott’s ship RRS Discovery where you will follow in the footsteps of him and his crew, see how they lived, what they ate, witness their hardships and triumphs on their heroic exploration of Antarctica, maybe visit the V & A Museum of Design, enjoy a spot of retail therapy or just sit and watch the world go by.

FRIDAY After breakfast we leave and head for home.

River Seine Experience 8 Days 26 August – 2 September 2020

This cruise will certainly provide a splash of colour with the opportunity to visit some world renowned gardens including Claude Monet’s celebrated garden at Giverny and the scenic delights of floral Guernsey. Cruise the beautiful River Seine with its panoramic vistas; discover a treasury of Gothic architecture in Rouen; and explore the Normandy countryside from Le Havre.

THURSDAY The capital of the Emerald Isle is, with its friendly locals, fascinating history, legendary literary tradition and charming mix of medieval, Georgian and modern architecture, a city of unforgettable character. It lies on the east coast of Ireland along the banks of the River Liffey. Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, Trinity College and the beautiful square St Stephen’s Green lie south of the Liffey, whilst the glorious Custom House, majestic Four Courts and famous General Post Office add grace to Dublin’s Northside. Crossing the river the high-arched Ha’penny Bridge is one of Dublin’s most famous landmarks.


SATURDAY For over 800 years Castle Cornet has stood guard over St. Peter Port. The attractive town is a delight with cobbled streets, steep stairways and alleyways winding their way down between the houses to a picturesque waterfront of grey and white stone buildings. Guernsey is geographically closer to France, yet loyal to the British crown, and this is reflected in the wonderful Anglo-French ambience around the town. The second largest of the Channel Islands has a wonderful coastline with beautiful bays, and pastoral scenery that includes the handsome, much-prized Guernsey dairy cows. The tax-free haven is perfect for duty-free shopping.

SUNDAY Lying some 75 miles from the Seine estuary, Rouen is the historic capital of Normandy. Victor Hugo called Rouen ‘the city of a hundred spires’. Its Old Town is a delightful maze of narrow, cobblestone streets lined with fine half-timbered houses and wonderful gothic churches including the magnificent Cathedrale Notre Dame and the Eglise St. Maclou. Rouen’s Place du Vieux-Marche is famous as the site where Joan of arc was burned at the stake in 1431. Further upriver is the village of Giverny and the home of Claude Monet, who captured the beauty of Rouen in many of his paintings.

MONDAY One of France’s main seaports, Le Havre sits on the English Channel at the mouth of the River Seine approximately 150 miles north west of Paris. Founded in the 1500’s Le Havre is one of France’s greenest cities and despite extensive damage during World War II, still retains a lot of its Gothic architecture with the city centre being designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. With a number of impressive museums and galleries, Le Havre is an ideal city from which to explore the further reaches of Normandy, as well as being well placed to visit the nearby World War II Landing Beaches


WEDNESDAY After what will have been a wonderful holiday we arrive back in Liverpool to begin our journey home arriving mid afternoon.
