Germany Moselle Valley & Trier 8 Days 14th – 21st June 2012

Trier situated among the vineyards of the Moselle Valley close to the Luxembourg border, is probably the oldest city in Germany and once the Roman Empire’s northern capital.  Its heritage of buildings spanning two millennia makes it irresistible for visitors.  The city’s most famous son was Karl Marx, the house where he was born in 1818 is now a fascinating museum of his life and work. We shall be including a boat trip on the River Moselle whilst we are here.
