YOUR HOTEL The 3* Buckatree Hall Hotel is a renowned comfortable country house, with its own mature gardens and private lake, offering a relaxing retreat where you can escape from the pressure of day to day life. Many of the rooms enjoy scenic views of the hotels own lake and gardens, providing a memorable setting in which to relax. All bedrooms are en suite and have television and tea & coffee making facilities.

MONDAY Depart from your home area travelling to Shropshire and arriving at Buckatree Hall Hotel, with tea & biscuits served on arrival whilst your luggage is taken to your room. A pianist/keyboard player will entertain you on one evening during your stay.

TUESDAY Our day begins with a drive down the picturesque Wenlock Edge, off the beaten track towards Ludlow, a medieval town with Norman Castle at the top of the town square and countless historic buildings. The town is a delight and we have free time to explore. We return past the impressive Stokesay Castle to Craven Arms and the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, continuing later through lovely Shropshire countryside.

WEDNESDAY Today it is Shrewsbury that catches our attention packed with timber framed black and white buildings amongst narrow alleyways surrounded by the River Severn. Here we enjoy a cruise on the River Severn and afterwards we have time to explore and obtain lunch before our afternoon visit to nearby Attingham Park. This stunning stately home was built in 1785 and was in continuous ownership by the same family for 160 years. A highlight is the Regency dining room set for an evening banquet.

THURSDAY This morning we head south to Bridgnorth. Here we join the famous Severn Valley Railway for a delightful ride along the beautiful Severn Valley, passing through lovingly restored stations on the way to Kidderminster. From here we head for the impressive Ironbridge Gorge where the worlds first iron bridge forms the centre of this World Heritage Site. Here we visit Blists Hill and the Victorian Town where we can explore the site with its many different attractions as we see what life was like at this time. Late afternoon we return to the hotel.

FRIDAY After breakfast we leave for home.
