Tenby & the Pembrokeshire Coast 6 Days 11th – 16th July 2012
Tenby is one of the prettiest resorts in Wales, and is justly proud of its golden beaches, picturesque harbour and ancient town walls. Unspoilt by commercialism it retains its natural seaside charm, especially along narrow cobbled streets lined with shops, cafes and restaurants. Along the sea front there are seats and shelters at vantage points to view magnificent coastal scenery.
YOUR HOTEL The Cliffe Norton Hotel is superbly situated over looking Carmarthen Bay, with spectacular views over North Beach and Tenby’s quaint harbour. The hotel is just a short walk into town. It is a family run hotel and you will be assured of a warm welcome with an excellent reputation for fine food. All en-suite bedrooms are well furnished with television and tea making facilities. There is a lift to most bedrooms, however there are a few steps to some rooms and the restaurant. Entertainment most nights. There are a limited amount of sea view rooms and these are allocated when deposits received so early booking is essential.
WEDNESDAY Depart local pick up points and travel south west to Wales calling for lunch before continuing to our hotel.
THURSDAY Today is a day of leisure in our resort of Tenby perhaps have a boat trip or sample the many shops and cafes.
FRIDAY A visit to Swansea today and the Maritime Quarter, the former
docklands have been transformed into an attractive waterfront with a marina as its centrepiece, you could visit the National Waterfront museum, sit and have a coffee and watch the world go by or a few minutes walk takes you into the city where you can shop or visit the Dylan Thomas Centre.
SATURDAY An interesting day out we first visit the Lovespoon Workshop a famous Welsh product where we can have a demonstration how they are made, we then travel to Saundersfoot a lovely seaside town before continuing to ‘Merlins City’ Carmarthen.
SUNDAY. A visit to the National Botanical Gardens set
in 18th century parkland with lakes, waterfalls and cascades, its breathtaking centre piece is the great glasshouse the worlds largest single span glass structure. (Admission Extra £7)
MONDAY Regretfully we must leave this lovely part of Wales and make our return journey home stopping for lunch on route.
