Our first visit of the season to the wonderful county of Norfolk. Cromer is a large seaside resort with plenty to offer for all ages. So you could spend the time enjoying being by the sea or shopping for the first two hours of your day. Then we move onto Sheringham in time for lunch and the rest of the afternoon. A smaller quaint little town but with plenty to see and do. Norfolk at its best.

York with its many building that date back to Roman times, a wonderful Cathedral, The Jorvick Centre, The Railway Museum and the cobbled ‘Shambles’. The city is surrounded by ‘city walls’ so anyone who fancies a walk this is the place to be, or a stroll down by the river or even a river cruise could start the day of perfectly. Plenty of small individual shops sit alongside the many high street stores all looking to tempt you to browse and perhaps treat yourself to something for the coming summer.

The lovely seaside resort of Whitby with its imposing Abbey stood on the hill overlooking the town. The harbour with all the fishing fleet bringing in their latest catch. Fish and chip cafes/restaurants for you to have lunch. The town with the old cobbled streets, shops, galleries and museums – what a perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday.

Back by request we will explore Cambridgeshire starting the morning in Ely with its beautiful ancient Cathedral, a stroll around the shops, coffee in one of the many cafes. Moving onto the large university town of Cambridge, here the architecture will just astound you, the river where you could just sit and relax watching the ducks, or even have a river cruise. And of course plenty of shops to feast your eyes on.

Bolton Market is just great with a huge amount of stalls offering everything anyone could possible want to buy. But the treat of the day will be lunch in the award winning Olympus Restaurant. This is an upmarket family business offering the best fish and chips in the area. With its distinctive arched windows and comfortable seating you will really enjoy the two course lunch of cod, chips and peas served with bread and butter tea or coffee followed by home made apple pie or home made syrup sponge both served with custard. This will be served at 12.00. Then time to go back onto the market before returning to the Olympus Restaurant to round of the afternoon with afternoon tea, which will be home made scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea or coffee. Sounds like a wonderful day out.

Skegness will be great today, sun shining, time by the sea, time walking on the ‘prom’, time in the arcades and finally the shops. Super way to spend Bank Holiday without the fuss and problems of driving and parking, all done for you.

Brigg Garden Centre is one of the largest garden centre in the area, not only has it the most wonderful and varied selection of plants, trees, shrubs, it is bursting at the seams with everything conceivable for the garden. From plant pots to garden furniture, they rub shoulders with a fashion department for men, women and children. There is a massive gift section where you can buy anything from a candle to a piece of art. A great restaurant too. To round off the after noon we will be visiting Grimsby and a stroll of the sea.
